We understand that there may be instances where students enrolled at an affiliated school are unable to participate in a district trial.
The good news is that we have a policy in place that allows eligible students to request an exemption from attending the trial.
If you apply for an exemption from attending a district trial, and it is approved, then we will consider you for selection in our team. Our consideration will be based on various sporting criteria and your previous experience in playing sport.
What you need to know about exemptions
Just because your exemption might be approved, it does not guarantee automatic selection to join our team in that sport.
Our expert panel considers various factors, such as skills, backgrounds, and sporting performances of all participants at the district sport trial and compare them to your exemption application information. Additionally, we take into account your sporting skills and history, which should be included in your sporting resume accompanying your application form.
How to apply for an exemption
Simply inform your school PE teacher or school sport co-ordinator about your intention to apply for an exemption.
