Not all sports are currently available through our program. We offer a variety of participation pathways for those sports that are available.
What is a pathway?
A sport pathway is the how you take part in a sport trial and how you advance to the next level of competition.
Some pathways require students to participate via district sport teams before advancing to our regional trials. Other sport pathways allow students to directly participate in our regional trials.
It's important to note that certain districts or regions may not offer a local program sport pathway. In such cases, students have the opportunity to trial by participating in another district or regional trial in that sport.
Is representative school sport part of the school curriculum?
This program not part of the mandatory school curriculum. It is up to you to follow the nomination procedures if you want to participate.
How to stay informed about what is going on?
We understand how important it is to know what is going on and to stay in the loop about all the exciting representative school sport trial and championship events that are coming up.
Remember that staying informed about these events is your personal responsibility.
We highly recommend regularly touching base with your school sport coordinator and checking our sport related web pages and event calendars. You will always be well-prepared and ready to nominate yourself to attend a representative school sport event by following this recommendation.
The available pathways
Sport pathways in our regional area are listed in the table below:
- “District teams" means that you must be nominated as a district team member to participate in a regional trial.
- “Direct to region" means that you must get school approval to attend our trial and you must register to attend using our registration procedures.
If the sport you're interested in is not offered by us in your local area, don't worry! We have an alternative pathway for you to get involved.
