Tennis 13-19 years regional trial notice

Date and time

Thursday 30 October 2025 – check-in by 7.30am.  Play commences at 8.00am

Alternative wet weather date if required – Thursday 13 November 2025

Sunshine Coast Tennis Centre, Central Park Road, Caloundra

Who can take part in this trial?

  • You must be turning 13-19 years of age in 2026 (born from 2013 – 2007).

  • Due to the level of this competition, it is highly recommended that students are already playing in competitive tournaments and have a 4.0 UTR or higher.

  • Players must include their Tennis ID number (11 digits, starting with '66') when registering.

  • A maximum of 18 boys and 18 girls will be invited to attend the regional trial. 

  • Nominating for this trial does not guarantee automatic entry into the draw.

  • You will receive an email to advise if you are invited to participate in this trial.

Cost

  • $25.00 – Do not make payment until you receive an email inviting you to attend the trial. 

  • Go to our regional online shop information to learn how to pay.  

  • Click on the 'Pay now Levies and apparel' button.

  • Click 'Regional Trials' and follow the prompts.

  • Bring a copy of your payment receipt to the regional trial as proof of payment.

Consent forms

  • See your school sport coordinator to collect your regional trial notice and consent booklet.

  • Complete our regional trial consent booklet and make sure that it is signed by a parent or carer and authorised school delegate.

  • Hand in your consent booklet to the regional officials when you check in at the trial.

  • You cannot take part in this trial if you do not bring your consent booklet.

​Sport equipment

  • You must supply your own playing equipment.

  • Match balls will be supplied.

  • If you need strapping you must bring your own tape. All strapping must be applied before the trial starts. Strapping is the responsibility of the individual player.

Food and drinks

A basic canteen is available.  You are encouraged to bring your own lunch and snacks.

Sun safety

  • Bring your own sunscreen and put it on several times during the day.

  • Wear a hat and stay in shaded areas when you are not playing.

Hydration

Bring your own water bottle and hydrate regularly throughout the day.

First aid

A first aid medic will be attending this trial.

State championship information

Dates:                         12 – 15 March 2026 (playing dates)

Location:                    Caloundra

Travel:                        You must make your own travel and accommodation arrangements

Approximate cost:    $650 plus team apparel

Regional team size

Maximum 8 players (4 boys / 4 girls)  

​The regional team will be selected this year in 2025 to allow the team enough preparation time for the QRSS 2026 state championships in March next year.
