It is possible for students who attend an affiliated school to be unable to participate in a regional trial at times. However, students who meet specific requirements can apply for an exemption from the trial.
There are separate forms for exemption applications for team sports, swimming, cross-country, and track and field.
The Sunshine Coast Region School Sport office must receive the application form and supporting documents no later than 24 hours before the scheduled regional trial.
A request for exemption must include an email address that is regularly checked for receipt acknowledgement and application outcome notification.
It is important to note that being exempted from a regional trial does not guarantee selection for a regional team.
